Editor’s Note: Anna Visscher owns Tart, an exceptionally well-curated boutique & gallery in Bozeman. Anna has a knack for finding some of the coolest, quirkiest handmade art and gifts in this region. Here are some of Anna’s favorite finds for Gifts for Jewelry Lovers that are quintessentially Montana. – Lynn

Jewelry is one of my favorite gifts to give – you can never have too much of it, it comes in a wide range of prices, and it’s fun to expose people to new designs and styles. Here’s a smattering of some of my favorite artists based in Montana – there’s far more than I could fit in here.

Esther Sullivan – Primitive Metalsmithing with Recycled Materials

Location: Montana
Source: Tart
There’s a smidge of punk rock, a dab of elegant and a lot of organic softness to Bozeman artist Esther Sullivan’s work. Oxidized sterling silver, brass and 14k gold combine in interesting and textural ways in this lovely jewelry. I’m currently obsessed with this triangle necklace.

Clyde

Gorgeous, bohemian designs for both the gypsies and fashion plates in your life. These pieces look like ancient relics but are also distinctly modern. My only problem is choosing which one!

Shelley

Contemporary, organic jewelry in a wide array of styles, there’s something for everyone. I love these leafy sterling silver earrings that feel both modern and earthy at the same time.

Bright, modern and clean lined jewelry handcrafted in Bozeman from vintage car metal by husband and wife team Pyper and Jarrod. I am obsessed with this jewelry and I love the stories behind the vehicles nearly as much as the pieces themselves.

Jennifer Seessel – Combining Crocheting and Beads for the Perfect Necklace

Location: Bozeman, MT
Where To Buy: Tart
These are the quintessential Montana necklace – you can wear it while playing outside, or when you dress up to go out. Vibrant little gemstones, sterling silver beads and pearls are hand crocheted onto these simple little necklaces that also look great layered. I love this design, called Lichen, but it’s hard to choose just one.
