Brent Zundel
Like a true Montanan, Brent’s first beer was one he and a buddy fished out of an alpine lake at 17 after it floated away from upstream campers. He served as the Montana State student newspaper’s senior opinion columnist and designated beer drinker for a number of years, but now
helps manage water – well known as an important precursor to beer – for the Bozeman office of the Department of Natural Resources and Conservation. (Water’s for fighting; whiskey’s for drinking.) In his spare time, he hikes, hunts, fishes, homebrews, travels, and writes about it at his blog, Mountain Solitaire, which you can find at brentzundel.com.
