Mike Harrelson

Based in Bozeman, Mike is an outdoor renaissance man. Always adapting to Montana’s fickle seasons, he’s poised for action with his quiver of: bikes, snowboards, kayaks, rock shoes, ice tools, fly rods, shooting irons and so forth. During his years working with Patagonia, he began moonlighting as a freelance writer for snowsports publications like Powder, Transworld Snowboarding, Backcountry and others. More recently, he’s been a PR-handler/outdoor concierge for Montana tourism, escorting journalists up mountains and down rivers throughout Big Sky Country. A lover of far-flung adventure, Mike’s writing has expanded to include a range of gritty travel narratives for Outside, Backpacker, Islands, American Cowboy, Huffington Post, Bomb Snow and other semi-credible media outlets.
