Based in NW Montana, Nicole has spent the last 20 years photographing people and their stories. Her traveling mentorship started right after attending Tisch School of the Arts at NYU, when she began assisting Montana based photographer Kurt Markus on fashion, editorial, and commercial assignments around the world. Six years later Nicole formed Piknik Studios for portrait and wedding projects and later opened an art gallery representing other fine photographers in the region. Her portraits have been published in Travel + Leisure, Playboy and Entertainment Weekly. Nicole teaches a digital photography course at Salish Kootenai College and helps document community events and personalities throughout Lake County on local assignments for The Valley Journal, a weekly homegrown newspaper. Her love is time working and playing on her historic farm with her daughter exploring dirt roads searching for new stories.
